As the oldest child of three, Kate Middleton grew up - at least initially - in a family of frequent fliers (I wonder if they can use those old air miles towards the honeymoon?)
Her parents -a flight attendant mother and a flight dispatcher father -began their courtship after meeting through British Airways, but by the time that Kate Middleton was 5, her parents had started a new niche supply business called Party Pieces. In due time, Party Pieces became a million-pound enterprise. This allowed Kate Middleton live a particularly fulfilling childhood, in which she explored sporty hobbies like skiing, running and field hockey, got a taste of school acting by playing Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and became a Girl Guide. Because of her comfortable lifestyle, much of Kate Middleton's formative education came at the pricey Marlborough College, where she was serious-minded, well-behaved, but also - as fate would have it -dreamy and perhaps slightly obsessive about a young Prince called William. I mean, who has posters of royalty on their walls?? Did she not read Smash Hits when she was a teengers, putting up pics of Boyzone and Robbie? No...it seems only a Windsor would do for her walls!
