Wills and Kate get their own Love Hearts

With an estimated 2bn people around the world getting ready to tune into the upcoming nuptials of the future king of England and his delightful other half, it’s unsurprising that marketers are going into overdrive.

Mugs are being thrown, cakes are being baked even, although we have no idea why, fridges and toilet seats are being manufactured to commemorate Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day - that’s 29 April, if you haven’t heard.

Now New Mills-based confectionery firm Swizzels Matlow have come up with their own way to celebrate the occasion by producing the pictured Royal Wedding Love Hearts.

Priced at a mouth-watering £19.99, the sweets come in a commemorative box of 50 rolls with printed packaging carrying the names of the happy couple, while ‘Just Married’ is embossed on the sweets themselves.
