At the tony Windsor Arms in Toronto, owner George Friedmann has created a 1920s-style tea room as the centerpiece for locals to celebrate the royal wedding. The silver will be polished, bone china arranged and guests will feast on smoked salmon, caviar and fois gras.
"It's a unique experience because it allows us to virtually be part of something that will be the future monarch," Friedmann told the CBC. The hotel's pastry chef, Rita Marini-Giallonardo, is adding a gold leaf to bite-sized pastries and guests will be able to watch the wedding on an over-sized TV at the hotel.
