Possibly a bit on the thin side, but as a friend of mine once said, "No woman ever looks better than on the day her wedding - it's downhill after that"!
Kate Middleton hit the shops yesterday as she enjoyed her last few days as a single woman. The future queen looked carefree as she hit the Kings Road in London's Chelsea for the second day running. While the world waits to see her wedding dress, Kate, 29, headed for upmarket chain Whistles for some rather more everyday garments.
The previous day, she had picked up some summer dress bargains at High Street chain Warehouse which hinted that she was looking forward to a honeymoon in the sun.
Yesterday, she looked very happy with her latest purchases as she emerged into the sunny street. Smiling Kate, wearing a £480 short wrap dress from favourite label Issa and with just one security officer in tow, might have been taking her last chance for such an informal shopping expedition.
Or maybe a bit of retail therapy is just what she needs to keep her mind off the stresses of the wedding.
