Pimm's aims to crash Royal Wedding parties

Diageo is plotting a tactical marketing campaign around next month's Royal Wedding, flooding the market with Pimm's-branded bunting for use at the thousands of street parties expected to take place across the UK.

The drinks company is understood to have spent about £500,000 buying up supplies of bunting, as it looks to capitalise on the celebrations marking the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
